PIPE THREADS PRESSURE GAUGES

Post by patinwood »

I recently published my query on Glycerine? filled pressure gauges. The advice was remove the glycerine? and they should act as a normal dry gauge. This will be my next step. This should reduce 'sticky hands' and anything touched by the gauges!
In following the fitting of the gauge I came across a 'G' thread and an 'R' and 'Rp'. It appears that BSPP and G are synonymous and BSPT and R and Rp are synonymous. But the female thread is parallel and male thread is tapered. As always an exception Rc is a tapered female thread but is not common.
I hope this will help others seeking PCL or Instantair fittings on the net.
