New (-ish) member Alan Gibbard and his partner Sue Harper (Also a member) visited the club today (Sunday 070724) with Alan's 'pride-and-joy', a 7¼" gauge model of a Royal Scot portrayed as No 6110 grenadier Guardsman.

I assume (fairly confidently) that this was built to Henry Greenly's design for Basssett Lowke using the latter's castings. It spent many years on exhibition in a museum before being acquired by Alan ... who's now determined to get it dirty! It is pictured here on an elevated track within the steaming bay ... I didn't stay long enough to see it in action on the GLT ... il pleurait comme une vache qui pisse!

Alan has commented that they were both made to feel most welcome and Alan would be interested in receiving any video members might have captured of the engine in action on the GLT on their phone ... he believes there were several ... is it possible you might broadcast such an appeal using your 'All Member' sending capacity ???
